The shop was founded in 1937 and relocated to Sarasota in 1967, now under second-generation ownership by Certified Gemologist Appraiser Michael Melnick. The store carries a Signature Collection handcrafted in the U.S.A. using platinum and nickel-free 18 karat gold with diamonds and colored stones. Beyond retail, Armel offers jewelry and watch repair, appraisals for insurance and estate purposes, and buys or takes on consignment estate jewelry. The shop maintains CW21 certified watchmaker services for Rolex repairs using genuine Rolex parts and holds annual American Gem Society certification.
