Privacy Policy

Browsing the directory requires no sign-up, and we do not ask for personal information to use it.

Usage measurement. When you view a listing or tap its website, phone, directions, social, or share buttons, we record that action against the listing, without cookies, so the business can see how its listing performs. We do not store your IP address with these records.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are visited and which search terms brought you here). Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate a general location. We do not use advertising features, ad pixels, or fingerprinting, and we do not share Google Analytics data with advertisers. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Like every website, our hosting infrastructure processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse. We do not use this data to profile visitors.

Your area. On your first visit we may suggest an area based on the approximate location of your internet connection. We use it only to offer that suggestion. Nothing is saved unless you accept it, and then only on your device, in a cookie that remembers your area so the home page opens on it. If you tap “Use my location”, your browser asks first, and the position is used once to find the nearest town; it is not stored.

The directory displays information about local businesses: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, hours, and descriptions. This is business information, compiled from publicly available sources and, where noted, verified directly. It is not personal data about you as a visitor.

If you own or represent a listed business and want a correction, or want a listing reviewed, contact us and we will address it. Business claiming, which puts owners in direct control of their listing, opens soon.

"Apply with my info" keeps what you type in your own browser. It is saved on your device only if you choose "Remember my info on this device", and "Clear my info" removes it. Resumes are made on your device.

If you press Send on a job, your answers pass through our server into one email to that business, which replies to you directly. We do not keep a copy of your application. Our email provider keeps short delivery logs, as every email service does. We count that an application was sent for the job, never who sent it or what it said.

Job alerts are a separate choice. If you tick that box, we keep only your email and ZIP code, ask you to confirm by email first, and include a one-click unsubscribe in every alert.
