Sarasota Music Archive is a nonprofit museum and music repository located on the second floor of Selby Library in downtown Sarasota. The archive holds the region's largest collection of music media and related items, including vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, stereo equipment, and instruments. Beyond its collection, the archive sells collectible music media and gear, and maintains an online store. It also hosts a season of performances, lectures, and discussions, drawing on decades of archived recordings dating back to the late 1980s. The archive accepts donations of musical instruments, stereo and PA equipment, and vinyl records from the community.
