Wood Street Studio
Sarasota furniture studio milling and crafting solid wood tables, housewares, and custom pieces in a converted warehouse.
About
Wood Street Studio is a furniture fabrication workshop in Sarasota that designs and builds heirloom quality pieces from solid wood. Located in a 7000 square foot converted warehouse space on 20th Street, the studio mills, dries, and shapes its own materials, working with both solid wood and laminated veneer. They offer slab tables and housewares for purchase, take on custom furniture commissions, and mill urban lumber for sale to other makers. The studio has completed work for the Ringling Museum's Japanese Tea House and documents the stories behind their projects through case studies. This is a working maker space where furniture is built to last.
